Toledo Getaway

Departure at the scheduled time for Toledo, making brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. Free afternoon to begin discovering Toledo at your own pace. Dinner at the hotel. In the evening, you will immerse yourself in one of the city’s most famous night tours, where you will learn about the mysteries of Toledo as the birthplace of wizards, sorceresses, and witches. We will traverse dark and secluded alleys, including a visit to a subterranean area that holds secrets from times past. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. In the morning, guided tour of Monumental Toledo. Known as “the city of three cultures,” we will explore its historic center, which has preserved its medieval layout and is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will visit Toledo Cathedral (admission included), famous for its medieval stained glass windows. We will stroll through the Jewish Quarter and visit the Church of Santo Tomé, home to El Greco’s famous work, “The Burial of Count Orgaz.” Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit La Puebla de Montalbán, the birthplace of Fernando de Rojas, the author of La Celestina. We will discover its museum and other iconic landmarks such as the Plaza Mayor and the Church of San Miguel. We will continue to the Mirador de las Barrancas de Burujón, a unique landscape where the reddish clay soils fall into the waters of the Tagus River and the Castrejón Reservoir. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
