Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the province of Seville on this four-day tour, visiting cities such as Osuna, Écija, Carmona, and of course, Seville. Enjoy iconic monuments, traditional neighborhoods, and landscapes full of history.
Departure at the scheduled time for Seville. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Seville with a local guide. We will begin with a walk through the Murillo Gardens, Plaza España, the Santa Cruz neighborhood, and its old town, where we will see the Cathedral and Giralda (entrance included). The cathedral is considered the largest Gothic-style cathedral in the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The main altarpiece is one of its icons; it occupies its central part and took about 100 years to build, with more than 200 figures of saints. Apart from all its beauty, the remains of famous figures, including Christopher Columbus, rest within the grounds. Next, we’ll take a panoramic tour, starting with the most important pavilion of the 1929 Expo and, from the outside, all the pavilions and the Plaza de América. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit Osuna, the Sevillian countryside declared a Historic-Artistic Site. Walking through its streets allows you to enjoy its stately houses and palaces, its grand buildings, such as the Collegiate Church of Santa María de la Asunción “La Colegiata” (admission included), which houses the impressive rooms containing the remains of the ducal family. Walking through the noble and stately city of Osuna allows you to experience a full, ancient, and monumental city. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure to visit the Triana neighborhood, a seafaring district and the birthplace of bullfighters and artists. We’ll see the oldest preserved iron bridge, the exterior of the Carmen Chapel, the famous Plaza del Altozano, the Inquisition Alley, and Alfarería Street, where the neighborhood’s classic ceramic workshops are located. We’ll see the Marineros Chapel (admission included), where the Esperanza de Triana statue is located, and the Estrella Chapel (admission included), patron saint of the port workers. Finally, we’ll stroll down the famous Betis Street, its grand display of colorful houses, one of the city’s most typical sights. Next, we’ll visit the Macarena neighborhood with its basilica (admission included), one of the city’s most traditional neighborhoods, with monuments, legends, and traditions. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit Écija and stroll through the city known as the “City of Towers,” which is one of the richest monumental complexes in the province. We will visit the Church of Santa María (admission included) and the Church of Santa Cruz (admission included). We will also see the exterior of the Benamejí Palace, a magnificent example of 18th-century Baroque architecture. The royal stables are located there, where we will enjoy a sound and light show that reviews the Roman and equestrian history of Écija. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Carmona with a local guide, one of the main population enclaves of the Lower Guadalquivir since ancient times. For example, we will see the Roman Necropolis (admission included). We will also take a walk through the city center. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
