Segovia – Ávila – Salamanca Circuit

Departure at the scheduled time for the province of Ávila. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of Ávila, a walled city declared a World Heritage Site. We will walk along its impressive walls, admire the fortified Cathedral (admission included), and visit the Casa de los Deanes (admission included), now the Provincial Museum. We will stroll through the Plaza del Mercado Chico, the Town Hall, and the Church of Santa Teresa. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Salamanca. With a local guide, we’ll visit the Plaza Mayor, the Casa de las Conchas (admission included), and the two cathedrals: the Old Cathedral, Romanesque and full of spirituality, and the New Cathedral (admission included), one of the jewels of Spanish Gothic architecture. We’ll also visit the University, one of the oldest in Europe. Lunch at a hotel or restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Plaza Mayor with its Cathedral, the Alcázar (admission included), the Roman Aqueduct, the Jewish Quarter, and other historic sites that made this city one of the most important centers of Castilian history. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
