Premium Basque Country Tour

Departure at the indicated time towards the Basque Country. Brief stops along the way. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Sanctuary of Loyola (entrance included), a pilgrimage center built around the Loyola family tower house, located in the beautiful valley of the Urola River. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure to Bilbao. Panoramic tour with a local guide along the estuary, the university, San Mamés, and the modern buildings. Walking tour around the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum, through the Begoña district with a visit to the Basilica of Begoña (entrance included), and the old town with its “Seven Streets” and Plaza Nueva. Then, visit to El Pobal Ironworks Museum (entrance included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, panoramic tour of Getxo and the Las Arenas neighborhood with its elegant mansions. We will cross the transporter bridge (entrance included) by gondola to Portugalete, where we will visit the Basilica of Santa María (entrance included) and stroll through its historic center. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Guided tour of San Sebastián: panoramic visit to the Kursaal, Victoria Eugenia Theater, Mount Igueldo, Miramar Palace, and La Concha Bay. Walk through the old town, La Brecha Market, Church of San Vicente (entrance included), Constitution Square, and Cathedral of the Good Shepherd (entrance included). Ascent to Mount Igueldo by funicular (entrance included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Zarautz with a stop at its beach and promenade. In Getaria, visit to the Church of San Salvador (entrance included) and its fishing port. We finish in Zumaia, surrounded by cliffs and natural landscapes. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Excursion to Biarritz with a stop at the Lighthouse to enjoy the views. Panoramic city tour, the Grand Casino, and a walk to the Virgin of the Rock and the Church of Saint Eugenia (entrance included). Continuation to Saint-Jean-de-Luz: stroll along Rue Gambetta, the harbor, beaches, and exteriors of Louis XIV’s Palace. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Hondarribia with a local guide: city walls, medieval old town, and Marina district. Entrance included to the Church of Santa María de la Asunción and del Manzano. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Visit to Lekeitio, a fishing town with a whaling and tourism tradition. Stroll through its port, historic center, lighthouse, and the Basilica of Santa María. Then, visit to a Txakoli winery (entrance and tasting included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, guided visit to Vitoria. We will see the Ajuria Enea Palace, Virgen Blanca Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel (entrance included), the Casa del Cordón (entrance included), and the Playing Card Museum (entrance included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
