Departure at the indicated time towards Navarre. Brief stops along the way. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of Pamplona, Hemingway’s adopted city. We will take a walk through Taconera Park, Calle Mayor, and visit the Cathedral (entrance included), the Church of San Saturnino (entrance included), and the Church of San Lorenzo (entrance included), where the chapel of San Fermín is located. We will continue along the route of the San Fermín festivities: City Hall, “chupinazo” Square, and Estafeta Street. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure to Zugarramurdi, famous for its witchcraft stories. We will visit the Witches’ Cave (entrance included) and the Witches’ Museum (entrance included). We will continue to Urdax and visit its prehistoric caves (entrance included), formed by the Hell Stream. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Tafalla and a walk through its most notable spots: Barrio Alto, Cuatro Esquinas, and Plaza de los Fueros. Then, guided visit to Olite, with its impressive Royal Palace (entrance included), a jewel of European civil Gothic architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.
Breakfast. Departure to Sos del Rey Católico, birthplace of King Ferdinand the Catholic. Guided tour of its medieval complex: wall, castle, Church of San Esteban, market hall, and Jewish quarter. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Javier Castle (entrance included), where the saint was born. We will tour its museum, noble halls, chapel, and the basilica (entrance included). We will continue to Sangüesa, an important medieval city on the Way of St. James, rich in religious and civil buildings. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.
Breakfast. Departure to Estella, a Romanesque city with a rich heritage of palaces, churches, and convents. Then, visit to Puente la Reina, a key location on the Way of St. James, where we will visit the Church of the Crucifix (entrance included), highly symbolic, and the Church of Santiago (entrance included), another outstanding example of religious Gothic architecture. Lunch at the hotel. At the indicated time, departure towards the place of origin. End of our services.
