Departure from the point of origin at the scheduled time, with brief stops en route for rest. Arrival in the city of Murcia and free time for an initial stroll through its streets, discovering places such as the Plaza de las Flores, the Paseo del Malecón, and the lively Gran Vía. Check-in at the hotel, room allocation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will take a guided tour of Murcia, where we will learn more about the Cathedral of Santa María (admission included), a symbol of the city. Construction began in the 14th century and ended in the 18th century, combining Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. Inside, the highlights include the Vélez Chapel and the Junterones Chapel. Next, walk through the historic streets of the center: Trapería, Platería, Plaza de Santo Domingo, and Plaza de Romea. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, depart for Lorca, known as the “City of the Baroque,” declared a historic-artistic site for its wealth of monuments. Visit the Visitor Center (admission included), located in the former 16th-century Convent of La Merced, where we will learn about the historical evolution of the city. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will travel to Cartagena, a port city with more than 3,000 years of history. Visit with a local guide through the old town, strolling down Calle Mayor, admiring its modernist buildings, and reaching the port area, a symbol of the city’s strategic and military past. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will head towards the Mar Menor coast to visit the towns of Los Alcázares and San Javier, with time for a short walk. Afterwards, we will explore the Las Salinas Regional Park and Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar, one of the most important wetlands on the Mediterranean coast, home to numerous birds. Walk among the salt flats to enjoy their characteristic colors and visit the Las Salinas Visitor Center (admission included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the five holy sites of Christianity along with Rome, Jerusalem, Santiago de Compostela, and Santo Toribio de Liébana. We will take a tour on a tourist train (admission included) through the historic center, enjoying views of the wall, Calle Mayor, and Plaza del Arco. We will also visit the imposing Basilica de la Vera Cruz (admission included), which houses the famous reliquary of the Holy Cross. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue to Calasparra, land of rice and natural landscapes. Stop at the Mirador de Las Lomas, with views of the rice fields. Visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope (admission included), carved into the rock on the banks of the Segura River. Then, stroll through the old town, passing by the Clock Tower, the Town Hall, and the Rice Fountain. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
