Departure at the scheduled time for the Costa Brava. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit Tossa de Mar, one of the most beautiful towns on the Catalan coast. We will tour its spectacular walled enclosure and the Vila Vella (admission included), where we will be amazed by its cobbled streets, redstone houses, viewpoints, and flowery corners. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Bañolas, with its emblematic lake, the Plaza Mayor, the Sant Esteve monastery, and remains of the medieval wall. Continue to Besalú, one of the best-preserved medieval sites in Catalonia. We will cross its famous fortified bridge and enjoy a cold cuts and liquor tasting at a local shop (included). Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, a guided tour of Girona, a monumental city where scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. We will discover the historic center, the Jewish quarter, the hanging houses of the Onyar River, and the main monuments. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to Castelló d’Empúries, a medieval town where we will visit the Basilica of Santa María, the old prison (entrance included), and the Flour and Wheat Museum (entrance included). We will continue to Empuriabrava, a curious residential marina known as the “second Venice of Europe.” Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Cadaqués, considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, famous for its Mediterranean aesthetic and its links to Dalí. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to Pals, with its medieval walls, stone balconies, and flower-decorated streets. Continue to Peratallada, a fairytale village where the cobblestone streets and vine-covered houses transport us back in time. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Santa Pau, in the heart of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. We will stroll through its historic center and Plaza Mayor, enjoying its rural atmosphere and stone architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit to Monells, a charming medieval village with Gothic architecture and cinematic sites such as Plaza Jaime I. We continue to Begur, where we will tour its old town crowned by its medieval castle, the streets of the “Indianos” (Indians) and beautiful 19th-century stately homes. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village that still preserves the traditional essence of the Costa Brava. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
