Departure at the indicated time towards Alcañiz. Brief stops along the way. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of Alcañiz, capital of the Bajo Aragón region. We will explore its underground passages, including the cistern, an old wine cellar, and a huge icehouse. We will also visit one of the air-raid shelters built during the Spanish Civil War (entrance included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure towards Calaceite, one of the most beautiful villages in the region. We will stroll through its historic center, declared a Historic-Artistic Site, discovering its squares, cobbled streets, churches, and stately houses with wrought iron balconies. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Cretas, where we will see its parish church, the Main Square, the chapel-portal of San Antonio, the chapel of San Roque, the Turull House, and the Hermitage of La Misericordia. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for a visit to Ráfales with a local guide. We will see the Portal of San Roque, the Gothic Church of the Assumption, and the restored oil mill “Molí de l’Hereu,” which houses an olive oil museum (entrance included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to La Fresneda with a local guide. This village was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1983. We will visit the 16th-century Town Hall, the Calatravo Castle, the Church of Santa María la Mayor, and the Great Market Hall. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure towards Valderrobres, capital of the Matarraña region and one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. We will cross its iconic medieval bridge and explore its historic center. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Beceite, surrounded by mountains and olive trees. Its old town of Arab origin is declared a Site of Cultural Interest. We will learn about its papermaking history and enjoy its natural beauty. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
