Departure at the scheduled time for the Community of Madrid. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit Chinchón, where we will start at its famous Plaza Mayor, considered one of the most beautiful in the world. We will see the Clock Tower, a vestige of the old church destroyed during the Peninsular War, and we will pass by the Lope de Vega Theater, the place where the playwright signed one of his works. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Madrid of the Habsburgs with a local guide. We will stroll between the Plaza Mayor and the Plaza de Oriente, with historic streets, taverns, and gardens. We will visit the San Miguel Market and the Royal Palace (exterior visit). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the emblematic Retiro Park, with its pond, the Crystal Palace, the monument to Alfonso XII, and the Paseo de las Estatuas. Free time. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Ávila, a walled city and World Heritage Site. We will see the cathedral-fortress, the Plaza del Mercado Chico, the Town Hall, and the Church of Santa Teresa. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, guided tour of Segovia, with its famous Roman Aqueduct, the Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and the Alcázar (exterior visit). Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Alcalá de Henares. We will visit the University, the Plaza de Cervantes and the Cervantes Birthplace Museum (admission included). Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure to Aranjuez, where we will see the Church of San Antonio (admission included) and the spectacular Jardín del Príncipe (admission included), a landscaped garden commissioned by Charles IV. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit with a local guide to the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (admission included), the Eighth Wonder of the World and a World Heritage Site. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, free time in Madrid. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
