Departure at the scheduled time for Extremadura. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of Plasencia. We will visit its Plaza Mayor, the New Cathedral, and the Ethnographic and Textile Museum (admission included), with more than 5,000 pieces on Cáceres tradition. We will also see the Church of San Nicolás, the Monroy Palace, the Palace of the Marquis of Mirabel, and other examples of the city’s magnificent monumental heritage. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Guadalupe, where we will take a guided tour of this beautiful medieval town. We will visit its arcaded square and the Guadalupe Monastery (admission included), a World Heritage Site. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Trujillo, land of conquistadors. We will visit its spectacular Plaza Mayor, with the statue of Pizarro, the convent of the nuns of San Carlos, and the church of Santa María la Mayor. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit Badajoz, the border capital located next to the Guadiana River. We will visit its old town, its walls of Arab origin, and picturesque arcades. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Mérida with a local guide, with an outdoor panoramic view of the Aqueduct and the Roman Bridge. Walk through the historic center to admire the Arch of Trajan, the Temple of Diana, and the Roman Theater and Amphitheater. We will visit the National Museum of Roman Art (admission included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit to Hervás, famous for its well-preserved Jewish quarter and natural surroundings. We will continue to Granadilla, a medieval village abandoned in the 1960s, surrounded by the Gabriel y Galán reservoir. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Jerte Valley: we will visit Jerte, Cabezuela del Valle (with its historic center declared a historic-artistic site) and visit the Cherry Museum (admission included). Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit to Cáceres with a local guide, a World Heritage Site, with its cobbled streets, palaces, and convents. We will see the exteriors of the Church of Santa Clara and the Co-Cathedral of Santa María. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure for Monfragüe National Park, one of the best-preserved ecosystems in the Mediterranean forest. We will enjoy its biodiversity and natural landscapes. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure at the scheduled time for the destination of origin. Lunch at the client’s expense. Brief stops en route. Arrival and end of our services.
