Itinerary

Day 1 Origin – Roncesvalles

Departure towards Navarre with brief stops along the way. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Roncesvalles, a historic site on the Camino de Santiago and scene of Charlemagne’s legendary defeat. We will visit the Collegiate Church (entrance included), the tomb of Sancho VII the Strong, and the pilgrims’ hospital. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2 Biarritz – Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Hondarribia

Breakfast. Departure to Biarritz, a jewel of the Basque-French coast. Stop at the Lighthouse and panoramic view of the city center. Visit to the Church of Saint Eugenia (entrance included). We continue to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, where we will stroll through Rue Gambetta and the fishing port. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Hondarribia and a walk through its medieval old town, with a stop at the Marina District and its typical colorful houses. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3 Elizondo – Baztán Valley – Pamplona

Breakfast. In the morning, visit to Elizondo, the capital of the Baztán Valley. We will see the Arizkunenea Palace, the Town Hall, and the Church of Santiago. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, guided tour of Pamplona: Taconera Park, City Hall, Castle Square, Estafeta Street, Church of San Lorenzo (entrance included) and Chapel of San Fermín, and Church of San Saturnino (entrance included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 4 Irati Forest – Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port

Breakfast. Departure to the Irati Forest, one of the largest beech and fir forests in Europe. We will visit the Interpretation Center in Ochagavía (entrance included) and enjoy a walk through this unique natural environment. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a medieval French town on the Camino de Santiago, famous for its pink stone houses and its citadel. Free time to explore its shops and alleys. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5 Sos del Rey Católico – Javier – Sangüesa

Breakfast. In the morning, guided visit to Sos del Rey Católico, birthplace of Ferdinand the Catholic. We will visit its walls, castle, Church of San Esteban, market hall, and Jewish quarter. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Javier Castle (entrance included) and its museum. We will also visit the parish church where the saint was baptized (entrance included) and the Basilica (entrance included). We end the day in Sangüesa, a monumental city full of palaces, convents, and medieval streets. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 6 Origin

Breakfast. Departure towards the place of origin with brief stops along the way. Lunch at the client’s expense if necessary. Arrival and end of our services.
