Departure at the scheduled time for Cantabria, making brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, departure for Santoña, one of the oldest fishing villages in Cantabria, located at the foot of Mount Buciero. We will stroll through its historic center and visit a typical cannery (tasting included). We will continue to Laredo, where we will explore its medieval old town, one of the most representative in the region, and enjoy its famous 4-km beach. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure to visit Santander. We will take a panoramic tour of the city, famous for its green landscapes and beautiful beaches such as Sardinero and El Camello. We will visit the historic center, the Pereda Gardens, the Cathedral, and other emblematic buildings. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Santillana del Mar, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, where we will walk through its cobblestone streets, the Plaza Mayor, and visit the Barquillo Museum (admission included) and the Collegiate Church (admission included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, depart for the Picos de Europa, visiting the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana (admission included), an important pilgrimage site. Next, we will head to Potes, the capital of the Picos de Europa, where we will enjoy its gastronomy and stroll through its medieval streets. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit San Vicente de la Barquera, known for its natural beauty and its church, castle, and medieval walls. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, depart to visit Cabárceno Park (entrance included), a natural area where animals from all over the world live in semi-freedom. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, depart for Castro Urdiales, a town with a rich historical heritage that includes a Gothic church, a medieval castle, and beautiful beaches. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, depart for Liérganes, a picturesque Cantabrian town that preserves the charm of its traditional architecture. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Comillas, known as “the Archbishops’ Village,” famous for its Sobrellano Palace, the Pantheon Chapel, and Gaudí’s Capricho, one of the most striking buildings in the region. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
