Departure at the indicated time towards the Basque Country. Brief stops along the way. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Sanctuary of Loyola (entrance included), located in the Urola River valley. It is an impressive architectural complex built around the Loyola family’s tower house, and a continuous pilgrimage center. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure towards Bilbao. Panoramic tour of the city with a local guide, passing along the estuary, the university, San Mamés Stadium, and the modern buildings that have transformed the city. On foot, we will visit the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum, the Basilica of Begoña (entrance included), and the Old Town with its Seven Streets, Plaza Nueva, and the Arriaga Theater. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, panoramic tour of Getxo, highlighting the Las Arenas neighborhood and its elegant mansions. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to San Sebastián. With a local guide, panoramic tour of the Kursaal, Victoria Eugenia Theater, Mount Igueldo, and Miramar Palace. Walking tour through the Old Town, La Brecha Market, Church of San Vicente (entrance included), Constitution Square, and the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd (entrance included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, tour along the Guipuzcoan coast: in Zarautz, we will walk alongside its extensive beach and the Narros Palace. In Getaria, we will visit the Church of San Salvador (entrance included) and its picturesque fishing port. We end the day in Zumaia, surrounded by cliffs and river mouths. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure towards Biarritz, with a stop at the Lighthouse to enjoy the views. Panoramic city tour and walking tour through its streets, visiting the Virgin of the Rock and the Church of Saint Eugenia (entrance included). We continue towards Saint-Jean-de-Luz, a charming coastal village, where we will stroll along Rue Gambetta, the harbor, and beaches, as well as view the exterior of the Palace of Louis XIV. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Hondarribia, a border town with medieval walls, traditional Basque architecture, and colorful houses. Walk through the Marina District. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure towards Vitoria for a guided tour. Walk through its Old Town, medieval streets named after ancient trades, the Portalón, the Cathedral, and the Playing Card Museum located in Bendaña Palace (entrance included). Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Guernica, a symbol of Basque freedoms. We will visit the Casa de Juntas (entrance included) and the Tree of Guernica. We finish in Bermeo, a fishing town with a picturesque port and a rich whaling history. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
