Badajoz Circuit

Departure at the scheduled time for Extremadura. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit Badajoz, a border town marked by its history and its location on the banks of the Guadiana. We will tour its historic center, its walls of Arab origin, monuments, and picturesque streets. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. In the morning, visit Jerez de los Caballeros, a monumental city crowned by four imposing towers and its Templar fortress (admission included), where we will learn about the history of the famous Bloody Tower. Next, visit a traditional ham and sausage factory (admission included) with tasting. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Zafra and its monumental complex: Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Merced, the Baroque church of the same name, and its arcaded architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast. In the morning, guided tour of Mérida, a World Heritage city. We will stroll among Roman remains and visit its theater and amphitheater (tickets included), archaeological gems of Roman Hispania. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Olivenza, a city with a Portuguese past, with a walk through its castle, the church of Santa María del Castillo (tickets included), and streets where architectural styles intermingle. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
