Departure at the scheduled time for Asturias. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Cabo de Peñas, the northernmost point of Asturias and one of the best natural viewpoints of the Cantabrian Sea. Afterwards, continue to Avilés, a city with an important industrial past that today stands out for its cultural and artistic life. We will stroll through its historic center, where the Óscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center and the Palacio Valdés Theater stand out. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit Oviedo with a local guide, capital of the Principality. We’ll take a panoramic tour of San Francisco Park and Plaza de América, and explore the historic center on foot. We’ll visit El Salvador Cathedral, pass by Plaza de la Escandalera and the statue of Botero’s “La Gorda.” We’ll admire the French-inspired architecture of some of its streets and enjoy the literary atmosphere that inspired Clarín. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Gijón, including its seafront promenade and the emblematic statue of the emigrant’s mother. We’ll tour the upper neighborhood and the old town, with stops at San Pedro Church, Valdés Palace, and the Jovellanos Birthplace Museum (admission included), as well as the Gijón Collegiate Church. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to the Picos de Europa National Park. We will begin in Covadonga, visiting its cave, the image of Santina, and the tomb of King Pelayo. We will stroll through the basilica and the Royal Site. We will continue to Cangas de Onís, the first capital of the Kingdom of Asturias, famous for its Roman bridge. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit Lastres, a charming fishing village with its old town, stately mansions, and beautiful views. We will end in Tazones, with its cobbled streets and granaries hanging over the sea, a fairytale village. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to explore the western coast of Asturias: Luarca, the “white village,” with its traditional fishing port and seafaring charm. Continue to Cudillero, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, where its colorful houses cling to the mountainside facing the sea. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit Villaviciosa, the capital of the municipality, famous for its cider production. We will visit the El Gaitero cider house (entrance and tasting included), where we will learn about the production process and taste this traditional Asturian drink. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Langreo, where we will tour its historic center full of medieval and noble architecture: the Quintana Tower, the Solís mansion, the Palace of the Marquises of San Félix, and the 12th-century Romanesque church of San Esteban. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure for Llanes, with its well-preserved old town, fishing port, and white-sand beaches. We will visit the famous Memory Cubes, a colorful work by Agustín Ibarrola. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to the place of origin. Brief stops en route. Lunch at the client’s expense. Arrival and end of our services.
