You’ll discover the impressive landscapes of the Arribes del Duero, experience a unique river journey, visit charming towns such as Zamora, Miranda do Douro, Puebla de Sanabria, and Toro, and enjoy gastronomic experiences with local wine, cheese, and cider. A complete getaway that combines nature, culture, tradition, and flavor.
Departure at the scheduled time for Zamora. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room allocation, and lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of Zamora, a medieval city linked to the history of kings and betrayals. We will start at Plaza de la Marina, visit the Church of Santiago del Burgo (admission included), see the exterior of the Palacio de los Momos in Plaza Zorrilla, and stroll along the typical Balborraz Street, with its characteristic colorful architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for the Arribes del Duero, where we will take a spectacular river cruise (admission included) along one of the most impressive and inaccessible stretches of the river. During the tour, we will learn about the area’s fauna, flora, and geological formations, and enjoy a wine tasting. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will take a guided tour of Miranda do Douro (Portugal), with its 16th-century cathedral (admission included), medieval streets, and the Museo da Terra de Miranda (admission included). Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, visit Puebla de Sanabria, a charming stone village featuring the castle of the Counts of Benavente (admission included), the Governor’s House, and its keep. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Sanabria Lake Natural Park. We will board the world’s first wind-solar catamaran (included) to explore the lake, with live environmental interpretation and real-time scientific diving. At the end, we will taste local cider at a viewpoint overlooking the pier. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, visit Toro. We will visit the Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor (admission included), the Monastery of Sancti Spíritus (admission included), and enjoy a gastronomic experience with a visit to the Francisco Casas winery and the Chillón Cheese Museum (admission included), concluding with a shared wine and cheese tasting. Lunch at a restaurant. Departure to the place of origin with brief stops en route. Arrival and end of our services.
