Itinerary

Day 1 Origin – Jaca

Departure at the indicated time towards the Aragonese Pyrenees. Brief stops along the way. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Jaca, a key city on the Camino de Santiago and of great historical and artistic interest. We will visit the Cathedral of San Pedro, considered the first Romanesque cathedral in Spain and a benchmark of European Romanesque architecture. Next to it is the Citadel of Jaca, a 16th-century pentagonal fortress, unique for preserving its original layout. Free time to stroll through the historic center. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2 Ordesa National Park – Torla – Monastery of San Juan de la Peña

Breakfast. Departure towards Torla, a charming Pyrenean village and gateway to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. We will enjoy an introductory walk in the park (entrance included), surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to the Monastery of San Juan de la Peña (entrance included), a Romanesque jewel carved into the rock, crucial for the history of Aragón and the Camino de Santiago. We will also visit the New Monastery and the Romanesque churches of Santa Cruz de la Serós. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3 Huesca – Aínsa

Breakfast. In the morning, guided visit to Huesca, capital of Alto Aragón. We will explore its medieval historic center with the Gothic Cathedral (entrance included), the former National Institute, the Town Hall, and remnants of its walls. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure to Aínsa, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Spain. We will visit its Main Square, the Collegiate Church of Santa María, the castle, and its charming stone streets that retain the spirit of centuries past. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 4 Hecho – Ansó – Canfranc – Origin

Breakfast. Departure towards the Hecho Valley to visit this picturesque village with traditional Pyrenean architecture. We continue to Ansó, declared a Museum Village for its perfectly preserved medieval character: stone houses, cobbled streets, wrought iron details, and an atmosphere from another time. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of the International Railway Station of Canfranc (entrance included), an impressive railway building inaugurated in 1928 and recently restored. We will learn about its history, the lobby, and the underground passage. At the indicated time, departure towards the place of origin. End of our services.
