Itinerary

Day 1 ORIGIN-GRANADA-ALBAICÍN
Departure at the specified time towards Granada. Brief stops en route. Arrival at the hotel, room distribution, and lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Albaicín, one of the most typical neighborhoods of the city, where countless charming corners await us, along with the best views of the Alhambra. We’ll enter through one of the most beautiful streets in the city, Acera del Darro, and continue along Paseo de los Tristes, which was the path taken by funeral processions on their way to the cemetery, the most romantic and bohemian street in Granada. We’ll pass through alleys, doorways, squares, and viewpoints that will take us on a journey through the city’s history. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Day 2 CATHOLIC MONARCHS ROUTE WITH ROYAL CHAPEL AND CATHEDRAL-GUADIX
Breakfast. In the morning, departure with a local guide to follow the Route of the Catholic Monarchs. We’ll pass by the Church of Angustias, the Alhóndiga (entrance included), the oldest monument left by the Arabs. The City Hall, the Alcaicería reminiscent of the great 14th-century souk. Stop to visit the Royal Chapel (entrance included) which houses the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs, followed by a visit to Granada Cathedral (entrance included). We’ll end at Plaza Bib Rambla, a silent witness to bullfights, autos-da-fé, and public executions. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, departure to visit Guadix. We’ll start with a visit to the cave district, caves excavated by man in the clay hills. We’ll visit the Guadix Caves Interpretation Center (entrance included), once regular dwellings and now presenting a comprehensive view of their origins and evolution through history. We’ll continue with a visit to the cave church (entrance included) where the patron saint and protector of the neighborhood is located. To finish, we’ll tour the city center, passing through the old Arab souk, the Episcopal Palace, San Torcuato Gate, and the San Miguel or Santa Ana neighborhoods, former Arab suburbs. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Day 3 ALHAMBRA – CARTHUSIAN MONASTERY AND FRAY LEOPOLDO
Breakfast. In the morning, departure to visit the Alhambra (entrance included) with a local guide, an architectural marvel that transports you to the Nasrid kingdom. UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll see the Generalife, used for rest and retreat from the hustle and bustle, the Palace of Charles V, the Nasrid Palaces (entrance included), the Hall of Ambassadors with its luxurious oriental decoration, and the famous Court of the Lions around which the other chambers revolved. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, departure to visit the crypt of Fray Leopoldo (entrance included), a figure of kindness and charity who walked the city streets for about half a century as a mendicant monk. Return to the hotel for lunch. Departure to visit the Carthusian Monastery (entrance included) with a local guide. Its construction began in 1506 on a beautiful area of Nasrid palaces and gardens next to the Aynadamar canal. The Carthusian Monastery of Granada is one of the masterpieces of Spanish Baroque. It houses high-quality Baroque works inside. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Day 4 ALPUJARRAS WITH PAMPANEIRA-FUENTE AGRIA-TREVÉLEZ-CAPILEIRA-BUBIÓN
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Alpujarra, with spectacular landscapes and villages of great beauty. We’ll start with Pampaneira, one of the jewels of the Alpujarra. A village that preserves its identity, where narrow and steep streets full of traditional white houses await us, some with ‘tinaos’ or looms mixed with colorful craft shops. We’ll visit the Chocolate Factory with tasting (entrance included), all in a wonderful picturesque setting. We continue to Fuente Agria, where one of the iron-rich water springs is located. We proceed to Trevélez, one of the highest villages in Spain and famous for its hams. We’ll visit a curing house (entrance included) where they’ll explain the entire process until it becomes what we all know. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Capileira, one of the most well-known images of the Alpujarra. Here we’ll stroll through its streets and enjoy the views and numerous local craft shops in the village. To finish, we’ll see Bubión, a village that preserves its typical Berber architecture of the area. We’ll pass by the town hall and the Rosary Church. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Day 5 SIERRA NEVADA – FLAMENCO SHOW WITH TYPICAL SNACK

Breakfast. Departure to visit Monachil, nestled in a fertile valley of the Sierra Nevada massif and overlooking the Granada plain. We will visit the Church of the Incarnation (entrance included) founded in 1501. Inside, the main altarpiece stands out. We will walk along the Monachil River and continue to Pradollano, where the Sierra Nevada ski resort is located. Here we will see typical snow constructions and stroll through the shopping area of the resort. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit a cave house to see a gypsy flamenco show (entrance included) lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. A drink with a typical Granada sweet is included. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Day 6 ORIGIN

Breakfast. Departure at the indicated time towards the origin. Brief stops en route. Arrival and end of our services.
